Made in August 2022 by textile artist, sculptor and fashion designer Hope Okere 
Repurposed silk jacquard from Seek Collective, thread, metal pully, beach stone from Santa Barbara, CA
The name Ndidi is of Igbo, Nigerian origin and it means patience. A study of material and weight, combining elements of overlapping, pleating, and gathering to envelop and hold the rock. Gravity is part of the sculpture. Created as doubled self with fully finished edges and openings. One layer of the fabric is reinforced with soft fusible.
